Why shouldn’t time at work be the happiest moments of our lives?
It seems like an absurdly simple question. Yet how many of us would even consider it to be possible?
Vishen Lakhiani not only asks it, in his inspiring TEDx talk (held in Ajman, UAE). He created a successful company around it.
From a bedroom office beside Times Square, New York to one of the most successful companies in Kuala Lumpur, Vishen Lakhiani grew his company, Mindvalley, on the idea of “creating the world’s greatest workplace.” In less than 12 years, it has become the best place to work in Malaysia – AND one of the best workplaces in the world.
Mindvalley has attracted staff from 31 countries, and people now regularly compete on YouTube to work there. Last year alone, it launched seven new subsidiary companies. And through Mindvalley Insights, the company is sharing much of its award-winning culture, marketing, business and tech strategies, so other entrepreneurs can adapt them to push their own businesses forward.
What made them so successful? Listen to Vishen’s story here:

From Mindvalley's Youtube post:
Vishen Lakhiani is the co-founder of Mindvalley — a ground-breaking company comprised of innovators, artists, technologist and dreamers from over 30 countries around the world.
Founded in 2003, Vishen's vision for Mindvalley was to build a company whose mission was to bring enlightenment and personal growth to the world in a scalable way using a hybrid of marketing and technology.
Vishen works with authors, thinkers, authors and leaders who have pioneered new ways of doing traditional things: parenting, entrepreneurship, spiritual growth, self-development and more. Mindvalley's team of programmers and marketers then work to build the systems to take these ideas mainstream. His goal was to bring his own passion of personal growth to the masses in hopes of creating a better world.
The result is a new kind of publishing company; one that merges software, mixed media, video, mobile apps and social networks to put authors in the personal development movement in front of the internet generation while bypassing traditional media like printed books.
