Centre News:

1) Growing a New Approach: Showcasing YOUR work and ideas - through the Centre

I see the "work of the Centre" not just as my work (or the events we put on), but as the collective work of ALL of us. For together, we are developing a new field - a body of knowledge, practice & experience for bringing more ‘spirit’ (or consciousness) into work. So how might we do that more effectively?

Lately, I’ve noticed two important developments:
First, there are so many valuable activities happening within the network (and beyond) – e.g. events, conference calls, tele-seminars, workshops, services, online resources, etc. – that it doesn't make sense for the Centre to duplicate these. It makes more sense to support YOUR work by telling others about it!

Second, there is such an abundance (or overload) of information on the Web, that some of us could use help finding out what to read, what to watch and what to take part in.

To these ends, I want to use these newsletters and our Forum/Bulletin Board to keep you more informed about what's happening, as well as new resources you might find useful in your work. Therefore we're adding three new features:
a) events/services being offered by people in the Centre network (& others). (This week, it's a tele-seminar series hosted by Boomer Business Coach David Cohen. See Next Events below.)
b) interesting resources that have been posted on our BulletinBoard; and
c) tips & ideas to help you grow your spirit/work.

We hope you will find these useful. Please email us about what YOU are doing (and also post it on our Forum/BulletinBoard), so we can tell others about it. And see more below...

Finally, this doesn’t mean ‘the Centre’ won’t be offering more workshops, events and services in future. However, the focus is expanding to what all of us are doing... so we grow everyone’s work, livelihood and spirit, together.

3) New on our Forum/BulletinBoard:
"Radically generous acts that break the rules of business and change the world..."

What we will do for love will always be far more powerful than what we will do for money.
What we can do together will always be far greater than what we can do alone.
And when we tap into the heart of “giftivism,” in ourselves, in our companies, in our communities, we begin to unleash our true prosperity. - Pavi Mehta

Watch/listen to Pavi Mehta, one of the leaders of Service Space, as she gives a TedX talk about how to shift our consciousness about money, and break the traditional rules of business by giving...

4) Tip of the Week: Want to feel like you're in a forest or beside the ocean?

Do you love the sounds of wind or waves, streams or forests, a crackling fire or a gentle rain?
Wish you could bring it into your office or home? Now you can...

Stéphane Pigeon, an audio engineer in Belgium, has developed a website that allows you to create your own soundscape -- by picking the kinds of sounds you want to listen to in your office/home.

Next Events:

1) Tuesday, February 18th - 8:00 p.m. - Monthly Tele-seminar series

Lives Well Lived is a new monthly tele-seminar series - about real people, who have gone through their own career shifts & changes, come out the other side, and want to share how they did it and what they went through. Hosted by "Boomer Business Coach" David Cohen, it's an interactive tele-call to help people going through their own career/life changes and transitions - and it's offered on a donation basis.

The monthly series starts on Tues, Feb 18th at 8:00 p.m. (Eastern time), with guest Donna DeLuca - a dynamic woman who began her career in corporate finance, left the corporate world and ventured into interior design, and is now Designing her Life Like a Work of Art, and living her purpose to inspire our youth and women to BE THE CHANGE.

Read more about it on our Forum/Bulletin Board, or go to David's website to see more and sign up for the call.
